Get connected to 240 business that are some of the best companies to target for a career (see criteria below): A - B/C - D/E/F/G - H/I/J - K/L/M - N/O/P - Q/R/S - T/U/V/W/X/Y/Z - Auditors - Consultants - Investment Banks This list of potential employers has been screened down to 240 businesses from multiple sources based on each company meeting one or more of the following criteria (over half meet more than one criterion):

  • Received a best company to work for rating
  • A top business for job growth
  • Ethnically diverse
  • Rated as best in compensation
  • Rated as a fast growing technology company
  • Considered a top employer for entry level business and/or MBA students

You will find four types of information:

  1. Click on the name of the business to get a very brief summary description. Provide insightful comments, if you know any, about the company that a fellow participant (i.e., prospective employee) may like to know.
  2. A direct link to the company’s career information on their website (so you don’t have to hunt for it). Click on the “career” link.
  3. The latest Quarterly or Annual Report filed by the company to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Click on the date, which indicates the last filing from that company. This information includes the most recent financial statements (often times broken down into segments, geographies, etc.), plus discussions of their business strategy and market conditions. Look for the sections titled “Management Discussion” and “Results of Operations”.
  4. Then a link is provided to a trade association or other industry information that pertains to the business. Read the latest news, policy issues, market research, etc., for their industry.

Learn about people that may interest you as well in a career search. Zoom Info Linked In (this requires you to join in, but it is no cost and worth it to you) Of course, I make no representation that there aren’t other good companies to work for, there are plenty. And getting a job with one of them is up to you. These companies consistently come to the top of the list as good businesses. I’m sure they have their pluses and minuses also, after all, they include people and none of us are perfect.
